Phone mobile review My wife and I went out to have a nice dinner at Blue Moon Fish Co. I had recently won a $25 gift certificate at a fundraising event. The Resturant had a great elegant atmosphere but the menu didn't have much variety. The waiter was nice but wasn't to helpful when we asked what he recommended. The entrees had a great presentation but the food was kind of flavorless. We asked for the check and were told that they couldn't take our gift certificate because there was a different owner now. I asked to talk to the owner and when he came he said he bought the Resturant 7 years ago and changed the name to Blue Moon Seafood and Chophouse, so he refused to accept the gift certificate. I told him that I had a certificate with his Resturant's name and address on it and that I didn't think it was fair. He started to talk to me with an unprofessional tone and even called me "dude". We paid for our full meal. On our way out, my wife noticed that the name on their sign outside still read "Blue Moon Fish Co."

Arrived here around 630 for dinner Wednesday night & were seated promptly to a booth. Our server was polite and very attentive. (Even though I forgot her name) she was a lovely girl. This time food was okay. Nothing to write home about at all. Prime rib was good until I got to the middle where it was tough & rubbery. Ended up just eating the outside & the pasta was very bland...lacked in flavor. This experience was nothing like I had previously & I will probably not return.

I was told by a friend that this place had great seafood and it was close to my neck of the woods. I love seafood and when my other friend suggested we try it, I thought why not. The ambiance is nice, the boring elevator music can be toned down a little. The service is ok, not very attentive, a little slow in removing the plates. The fried calamari appetizer is tasty, not too greasy like in other restaurants. The shucked oysters were nicely chilled, I think they could have a been a tad bit more fresher. I am giving this place three stars instead of four, due to the entrees, mine was great, but my friends meal was nothing to rave about. I ordered the Lobster Shellfish Pan Roast and it had such an awesome sauce, my only gripe, the noodles were too overcooked. The lobster, clams and shrimp were all on point. The sauce made up for the iffy noodles. My friend ordered the swordfish, it was accompanied with mash potatoes and asparagus, olives, artichokes, tomatoes in some vinaigrette sauce and a bland burnt plantain garnish. The swordfish was dry and the vinaigrette sauce made everything taste too salty. The mash potatoes were the only good thing on that entree. Too full to order desert, not a bad place but not great.

Hands down the best seafood restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. I've never had anything I didn't love from Blue Moon. The service is phenomenal, the food is so fresh, and the atmosphere is beautiful. We go here for every special occasion. Their brunch is a must! All you can eat crab legs, oysters, mussels, filet mignon meatloaf, creme brulee, prime rib. Dinner is also amazing. You have to try the grouper with lump crab risotto, that meal will change your life.

I went there for lunch the other day. It has a cozy atmosphere and great food. The pecan crusted grouper was to die for. It came on top of sweet mashed potatoes and slighlty crunchy green beans. I would recommend this resturant for one to try, especially if you like seafood,

This once fine restaurant has collapsed into a pile of rubble, figuratively. While the food is still well prepared, the service was probably the worst I have ever experienced. With only three tables occupied the evening when we entered and four when we left - at 8:30 pm - , they cannot possibly survive. One waiter. One server. The hostess could not find our reservation - did she even bother to write it down? It took 10 minutes to get menus. Fine little embellishments like tapenade and pesto dipping sauces replaced with a blob of butter. Drink orders took way too long for delivery and were repeatedly wrong. They refused to wrap up leftovers for us to take home. Need I say more?

I had to find a restaurant at the last minute, for Thanksgiving when I found out my kitchen renovation would not be complete in time and had out of town guests to entertain. I was quite nervous since I'd never been out to eat on this holiday, and my Thanksgiviing expectations are set quite high. Not only was there an amazing display of food to choose from, everything we all ate was superb! The staff was so completely kind and accomindating also (we had an elderly handicapped couple with us). What a treasure this place is, well worth the drive out west to Coral Springs.

I've eaten at the Fort Lauderdale location and enjoyed it. I tried to eat lunch at the Coral Springs restaurant without success. I was in the plaza for other business and they had touts in the parking area inviting people in. I walked in, was seated by the greeter, and no one showed up after ten minutes. We left.

We enjoyed the whole dining experience. The service was very good. The food was very good. The ambiance was very nice. The location was very convenient for us. We felt we got value for the price.

We had our office Christmas lunch here last week and the food was Amazing! It's hard to get a group of 26 to agree on anything but they raved about the food - excellent taste & quality. The down side we all agreed on though was they did not have enough servers on duty so service was slow ...that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. I definitely plan on returning for dinner and will try the other location for Sunday Brunch - better atmosphere according to coworker as it's on the water, just what you want for a relaxed Sunday.

Lovely atmosphere, pretty empty on a Saturday night, but service was amazing. I had the sauteed snapper with lemon butter sauce, was delicious. DH had the pan seared scallops and loved them, 17 year old son had the gumbo, and he loved his! All in all a very enjoyable experience, would go back with family members when they come to visit. We eat out a lot, and this will be a favorite

I love the food at this restaurant. It is expensive but always perfectly cooked and delicious. We go back for that reason However every single time we go they mess up the bar order. We have waited about 20 minutes every time for a simple drink. Not even a mixed drink. Was just there, waited 20 minutes again and then were told they didn't have what I wanted. Another person in the group ordered a drink on the rocks; no rocks. Then he ordered a glass of wine with the dinner; no wine ever came And there were only 3 tables occupied at the time. I will never figure out how such a good restaurant cannot get the bar right. Would be 4 stars if they could get that together.

The experience at Blue Moon Fish was pleasant. The ambiance was ok, but the restaurant was pretty empty. Our server was friendly and prompt. I had the Thai Shrimp. The shrimp were jumbo and the curry sauce was savory. My friend had the stuffed snapper. I think the prices were too high though.

BRUNCH review. White head central. We were the only group under the age of 75. There were 2 large parties while we were there, one with a group of 50 really old people and the other a group of 20 really old people. Our server must have been having a real bad day. He didn't smile once or offer any type of personality. It wasn't until the very end that he put any effort into making us feel wanted at the restaurant. Maybe it was those 2 huge super needy parties, but still, we were friendly and accommodating and he should have been too. The food really is lunch, not brunch. There was NO EGG option at the buffet area (only poached option by ordering from server), the bacon was always short on supply and not once was the hash browns refilled. The salads were iceberg lettuce and always running out. The raw food bar was nice, although the shrimp was overcooked. The raw clams and oysters were good. The food you order was ok. I had the swordfish (rice was overcooked), the poached egg dish (very plain) and the pancakes (too sweet). Although a bloody mary or mimosa is included, our server did not tell us it was and we had to push him to take our order for it. They raised the price by $8 on October 1 and even at the previous price of $21.95 per person (now $29.95) I would not go back. The ambiance, service and food were all pretty crappy.

Okay, I'm a lil' late with this one, but to show you all that I'm not a crabby ol' man I wanted to set the record straight with this place. In November my wife "to my protests" decided to pick Blue Moon Fish Company for her birthday celebration. After my second experience I was worried that we would have the same type of "under achieving" service as the time before. WAS I WRONG! It was perfection, from sitting down to leaving. BRAVO! Thank you, for not only making this a wonderful evening, but an experience.

i'll start with the good stuff. the food was excellent. chef is very talented, etc. unfortunately in every other way the restaurant was a complete failure. although our waitress/bar tended was very pleasant and nice, she could not overcome the total chaos of the restaurant. absolutely clueless, NO manager. dinner was served 1.5 hours after placing order. they did have a power outage for a second that caused problems that they were not able to overcome. i'm sure this was simply a very bad night, but beware. we will try it again because the food was that good. fyi - the other Blue Moon in Lauderdale by the Sea is consistently great with better ambiance.

We go here from time to time and its usually pretty good. We went for Valentines Day and it was awful. We really thought about the problem and realized that the MANAGEMENT handled this holiday/friday/night-out, badly. Two inexperienced young girls were hostessing. reservations were severely overbooked, the kitchen couldnt get the orders out fast enough, the wait staff were overwhelmed and had zero personality. the hostesses were blaming the people for not leaving fast enough, but it was the kitchen not getting the food fast enough (and they have a very limited menu, so it wasnt like they we cooking so many different things). we sat for 20 minutes before we got our water. and once food was done, tables could have been cleared so that the pile of waiting angry customers could have been seated, despite this the food was very good, but one would expect that or the prices. (high prices/small portions but done right) -the food was very delicious. i hope the owner/manager takes this review to heart, because we like the place and are only saying this so that maybe some small improvements could be made to make this a 5 star star restaurant.

This place has an awesome brunch. One of the better restaurants in the area, for sure. I loved the mahi mahi dish, the risotto, crab cake, and key lime pie. The bloody mary was pretty good too. Well worth the $.

Came here for my Dad's bday and boy are we glad. First rate oysters on the half shell along with a delicious house salad consisting of romaine, Gorgonzola, granny smith apples and onions. Mains included a wondwrfully moist and well prepared sword fish; succulent Lamb chops and blackened mahi Mahi Mahi with shrimp and scallops. Great key lime pie made for a perfect celebration.

I want to say that I read Arthur's comment and almost did not come here. Wow, am I glad I did. There were 4 of us and we all got something different, all seafood. The food and service was great and we were there on a Sunday early evening. I would have t strongly disagree with Arthur. I already knew that stone crab claws were expensive and therefore would have asked "are these included in the buffet". Anyway just thought I'd offer my review. Would definitely go again.

Well, It seems that i have my work cut out for me based on this previous review! Blue Moon Fish Co. is one of the few restaurants I am grateful for opening in Coral Springs. Having Eaten here quite a few times, I have only been surprised and impressed by every visit. The vast assortment of fish and shellfish choices along with the culinary mastery that comes standard with every dish is simply amazing. The menu does change seasonally, but many "prime" dishes are infused with fruit and citrus notes that set the fish and recipe in general apart from the usual. The food and menu is awesome, and the Swordfish is always in good taste. Checkout this place for yourself, you may fall in love.

I have been to their other location, and I was happy to see that they opened up a Coral Springs location, but I never could seem to find the time to check it out, so I finally stopped by yesterday to eat a quick lunch at their bar. At first, the service was friendly at helpful, but I don't think they are used to people eating lunch at the bar because they then completely forgot about me for a while. As far as the decor is concerned, it is in a stripmall, so it does not have quite the same feel as the other location on the water, but the inside is nice nonetheless, in an old-school sort of way. I had the pecan-crusted grouper, which is apparently one of their "specialties." It was good. Not phenominal, not extraordinary, but a good, solid dish. I would say that the level of the food is comparable to that of Bonefish Grill, although I think Blue Moon is slightly better than Bonefish because Blue Moon is open for lunch and because (although I don't know this for sure yet) it probably does not have as many little kids running around at dinner as Bonefish. If I could award half-stars, I would probably award three and a half to Blue Moon, and I have been conflicted about whether to award three or four, but since they forgot about me for a while, I will only award three.

Dinner on a Friday evening with a little baby was effortless. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. The chowder and bang bang shrimp are very popular appetizers. Out fish entrees with mango sauce were amazing. Despite being a visitor to FL, I would seek out this place for another meal before I leave. Definitely recommend for great food, service and baby friendly environment.
This is Coral Spring's best kept secret. It is the most beautiful restaurant, very romantic for a date, or with your BFF! The wine selection is impeccable. The service is great. I have never had a bad meal here, and the presentation is just beautiful. We are happy to have this place in springs, where most places are "family" style and not for singles. Or dating. This one is perfect. One night they even had roving band playing the strings....nice. never leave us!

I accidentally ended up at Blue Moon Fish Company one Friday after work. I just so happened to arrive in time for the senior/early bird special. After looking at the regular menu prices and having a stroke, I looked at the early bird and realized you can get some of the same items for a much less expensive price tag. The food was out of this world, the 3 course menu selection left me stuffed, and the wait staff were amazing and friendly. I would defiantly revisit this restaurant.

We had a party there and like most parties all the prices are worked out in advance so there is no sticker-shock, and hopefully no unpleasant parties. While this was supposed to work that way; unfortunately it did not. The restaurant has a nice buffet but I suppose that doesn't pay the bills so they try to sneak extras on the patrons. Now it's one thing if you disclose it to people that they have to pay more for certain things but it's another if you don't say anything, let people think it's part of the buffet and 'slam' them at the end by charging for things the restaurant intentionally never revealed. While we had all the prices worked out, on the day of the buffet/ party they asked guests if they wanted wine and bottled water (yes, regular bottled water easily available at Publix, which Blue Moon charges four times the price for). The guests probably said yes, not knowing that it was not part of the package. The staff never asked us in advance or received any authorization to add these upcharges which by law is required if you're going to increase the tab on someone at a large gathering. They also charged us for three people who didn't even show up, even though that was revealed to them from the start, not only that but they tried to sack us for the tax and tip of these three guests that weren't even there! We called the owner, "Chef," Mariela Cournoyer--part owner and the head chef's wife--who said she would send us a gift card to 'make up for things.' No gift card was ever sent. We even called to get things straightened out but again our calls were never returned. In short, this restaurant is run by a bunch of thieves who intentionally try to swindle your money by offering things you never agreed to, they intentionally don't disclose upcharges and offer things that were never supposed to be offered in the first place. It's sad because this once was a great restaurant but under the new ownership this place has become insanely overpriced and resorts in sleazy and slimy practices to pad their profits!
From one great Restaurant to one I will never return Octopus small tasteless Cobb salad white lettuce and Shrimp low Quality

I've been here twice in the last 2 months. I was looking for a place I could get some nice seafood without having to go East or South. The food is delicious...the service is average for such a pricey place... The Lobster shellfish pan roast was so good that I thought the others at the table were going to try and lick their plates clean. A few of us had risotto, it was delicious. We did not have dessert, maybe next time. I definitely plan to go back...hoping to get a better server... Can't wait to check out their brunch.

Went with our family of 8 for father's day dinner. We had a great time, the food was excellent and our server was sweet. The Oysters were so fresh. I liked the ambiance, it had nice mood lighting, and a quiet atmosphere. We enjoyed a night out as adults without kids running around or noisy diners.

OMG the food is simply amazing! I do not understand why they have put the $$$ in here. Brunch could not be better. The price is $19.95. What you get for that is a super fresh raw bar, a carving station, all the usual breakfast Farr AND plated dishes that are not only delicious, but beautifully served. Add to all that unlimited mimosas for $7 and you cannot possible get better or cheaper. I would be willing and happy to pay $70 for this exceptional brunch, in fact I have paid more for a lot less. I simply loooove it!

Wow! Wow! Wow! The food here was great in every respect. The restaurant is in a strip mall and has a nice interior with a white tablecloth look with lots of booths. You wont be super impressed with the decor but the food will impress. The complimentary bread and dipping oil w/cheese(?) was very tasty. I usually dont like this type of bread and oil but this one had wonderful flavor. Then we had a special pomegranate and peach martini and it was a really nice flavor too. We ordered the special which was lamb and mashed potatoes with vegetables and our second entree was a seafood pot with some sort of cake which was like a crisp pasta. We didn't know which we liked more. The lamb was cooked medium rare and was the best juicy lamb i've ever had. It was a rack of 8 ribs and we only ate four and had four for lunch today and they were still excellent. The seafood pot is clams, mussles, a couple shrimp, a couple big scallops, half a lobster tail and that cake thing with a nice creme sauce. Lots of seafood. The cake mixed with the sauce and a chunk of seafood was perfect! Oh and we had a shrimp cocktail appetizer which is three shrimp, cocktail sauce, and some salad. It was all very tasty but this is the one thing that i thought was a bit of a dissappointment just because of the price $13 for 3 shrimps and some greens. I think it was $36 for the seafood and $32 for the lamb. Very happy with this delicious surprise close to our neighborhood. It may be our new favorite special event place. Strip mall parking no problem. Service was attentive and our waiter Jake did a good job.

Ok, they went from one start to five in my book. Went here a A few years ago for brunch and we had the worst experience. The price was high the service was bad and what you got for what they gave you was certainly not worth it. At that point they did not even include unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary's. Fast forward to last weekend and we had by far the best Sunday brunch I've experienced in Fort Lauderdale in a long time. They are expensive but 100% worth every penny. The mimosas are a very light orange color and the bloody Mary's are made from scratch. They have several different stations with every type of food you could possibly imagine including all you Can eat crab legs and oysters. To Be able to sit outside on their patio on a Sunday and watch all of the boats go by on the intercoastal is a real Fort Lauderdale experience. Especially now when the weathers nice. Highly recommend going there for brunch!!!

I am no lunch brunch, Belgium waffle, et al, guy but went to one here recently. Surprise - outstanding. Simply great. And not a waffle to be seen. Service was - fast, professional and just the right amount of smiles. Nothing served was boring or stale. Nothing. And great buffet service is no mean feat. Creative, fresh, visually appealing. Pasta was outstanding, as were the mussels and fruits. Let me sum my experience up with this - I usually pass on dessert. Had two plates. And would not have rejected a third. To me, perfect. Simply perfect. I will be back to give the menu a try. There may well be another here.

My husband and I had heard such great things about the Fort Lauderdale location but live in Coral Springs so we stopped into that location. We walked through the doors and stood in front of the hostess stand while the "Hostess" just stood there staring at us apparently waiting for us to seat ourselves (?) I have no idea...So after our stare-off for 2 min she finally rolled her eyes and asked if we had a reservation (super snotty)! No "hello" no nothing. She then said they were on a "little bit of a wait" while gesturing to about 5 EMPTY tables!!!! At this point I told my husband to that this place clearly did not want our patronage and we left. Judging by the way it appears, this place only appreciates one type of customer...so sad. Save your money...go somewhere else don't help this place stay in business.

I went to this restaurant due to a recommendation from some friends: This past Thursday night. Let's start with the worst part of the evening! I was drinking Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio, and while the first was correct, the second and third glass were a Muscato! and cheap! I didn't want to complain at first, and thought the distinct fruity smell was almost dishwashing detergent smell so was perplexed but continued to drink it... At any rate, when I finally decided to say something, (didn't want to be the grumpy diner) I asked everyone at the table to taste it and they all agreed. It was not Pinot Grigio. Let Alone, Santa Margarita (the most expensive PG on the wine menu generally) When I complained, she first denied it and then when questioned further said she didn't actually see him pour it. Well they took one glass off, but with the price of the meal, in an empty restaurant. They didn't have a manager come over once! Why? because he had a private party in the party room. Only three tables in the restaurant were occupied. Bad form on the managers' part. In lieu of asking how we wanted to resolve it, we were given free dessert which I specifically told the waitress minutes before I did not want. The food was very good, and there was no wait, on every other count, things were superb..... However, for there to be any funny business on the wine, is unacceptable. I felt duped. Will not be going back

*BRUNCH Review I've been looking for a place to write a 1-star review for a while and, unfortunately, today was the day that I found it. I was looking for a good place for brunch in Coral Springs and came across this place on yelp. Of course I was instantly surprised with the positive reviews, and thus arrived at the place with a little bit of high expectations. Nevertheless, I was surprised with the most mediocre "brunch" I've ever had - if you can even call it that. I think my biggest problem with this place is that they dare to say that they serve "brunch". If they would just say that they serve lunch, I would probably give them 2-3 stars. So, where shall I start? We get to the place and are explained by the server that the brunch is a buffet and it costs $29.99 per person. We order mimosas (which are included) and head over to the buffet. The fruit? Cold and either soggy or really hard, you can tell that it has been refrigerated for a couple of days. It really was just like the fruit that they served at the dining hall in my freshman year of college. The eggs? They only had one style - scrambled. And it looked just like the one that they serve at the Holiday Inn's complimentary breakfast. There is a reason why it is complimentary at the Holiday Inn - I really expected this one to be much better in quality. Mind me, for the price of this "brunch" menu I expect at least 2-3 egg style options and an omelette bar, all of which are nonexistent in this place. I think this was the point where I got really irritated, as I was really looking forward for some Eggs Benedict. How can you dare to call yourself a brunch place if you do not offer Eggs Benedict!? I do not understand. They served muffins and marble cake pieces as well, just like the ones you find at Wal Mart. The mimosa was also pretty bad. How do you mess up with a mimosa? It's literally just Champagne (or sparkling wine, either will do) and orange juice! I was puzzled by the fact that I can make a better mimosa with cheap sparkling wine and some Tropicana orange juice... Seriously, what is this place? I ended up eating one of the salads that they offered and some of the crab-cakes that they served. Which wasn't really that bad, but as I said before, that is LUNCH, not brunch. The only positive highlight that I have was service. Service was decent, and the waiter was attentive and always alert, but he didn't even know what to say when we told him we expected much better from this place. Didn't even offer to let the manager know what we thought. Overall, most mediocre brunch experience that I can recall. VERY disappointing.

Aside from a slightly obnoxious wait when we walked in (and saw SEVERAL empty tables and many more people leaving as we waited there), the meal was great! I feel like sometimes, they make you wait, just to make it look like the place is busier than it really is. It was 9pm on a Saturday night.. The filet was amazing! The brie app. is 'ok' we'll pass next time. The house salad was nicely split for us as we shared it and it had lots of goodies in it (berries, etc.) with a refreshing dressing. The wife had a salmon which was equally as amazing as my filet. We're fans and will be back! I'm told they have a great Sunday brunch - I'll revise the review with that info when we try it.

So not worth it. Got the mozzarella app, yellow tail snapper and thai shrimp. The mozzarella was the best part. Everything had a foo-foo presentation. The snapper seriously had dried spaghetti sticks on it, was dry combined with these sweet potato strings that had so little taste and only added to the dryness. What they called a "cold mango and apple salsa" was just cut up mango and apple. The thai dish had a great sauce. It had almonds, peanuts and some other nut. The shrimp was overcooked and dry. We didn't feel overstuffed which was good. They were offering a 2 for 1 on dinners. They pulled an Amazon.com thing where they showed us the bill before discount and how much we saved. Even with that it wasn't worth it.

Place had a great reputation awhile back, and has totally lost it. I live a few blocks from here, and they also have a location on the Intercoastal. (Maybe others?) From what I've heard, that location is great, but who's going to take a chance?

Thank god they have this place in Coral Springs! In an area where it's usually challenging to find a stellar dining experience and even more difficult to find a great lunch experience, Coral Springs, Blue Moon Fish Co. has stepped up to take first place in the lunch service arena. My favorite entree for lunch is the seafood pasta, minus the salmon...its delicious and very filling! They do have lunch specials so their prices are responsible for the amount and quality of food that you get. And if by chance you can make it to dessert you won't be disappointed, they deliver in the sweets department just as good as they do savory.

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, very good service...fresh fish with wonderful side dishes...I've been many times...last time I had blackened mahi, shrimp and scallops with lobster risotto and fresh veggies...it was delicious!! Oh and definitely try the Sunday brunch...its the most unique brunch you will ever see!!

Father's Day brunch was quite disappointing. To start, the oysters were FULL of broken shells. Yes, you expect a piece of shell here and there, but not crunchy oysters. The buffet entrees were almost empty every time we tried to get any. And the carving station right next to the fresh omelet station would have been fine if that had one employee manned each. Instead, one poor guy was jumping back and forth and, not for lack of trying, wasn't doing so hot. I have been here before and remember being very impressed. There were waiters all over the place and, given all they had to do was take off empty plates and fill drinks, the service was not stellar either. I quickly regretted not taking my father to a sit down dinner at a truly elegant restaurant. I expected more out of them, especially on Father's Day. Instead I felt like I was at a bad banquet.

One of those Friday nights where every restaurant has a line so as we drove aimlessly around we stumbled across Blue Moon Fish Company, and I'm glad we did. I started with the French Onion soup, always one of my favorites and they didn't disappoint. My dining partner ordered the Penne Pasta Chicken and I ordered the Thai Curry Shrimp. It was some of the best curry anything that I've ever tasted, and both of us finished our meals, meaning no leftovers for a Saturday lunch. I'll be back.

My fiance and I had the seafood gumbo and oysters Rockefeller to start, and they were both tasty. I had the crab stuffed grouper with the mushroom risotto, it ess fantastic! My fiance had the ribeye steak, which was actually really good. It was cooked perfectly and very tender. So the food was great, and the service mostly great. The server did hover a bit.

This restaurant recently changed its name to the river grass grill. It was a lovely restaurant in coral springs. Today I took guests to this restaurant and although they said it's the same chef and the same owner just a different name, I found that not to be true. The service and the quality of the food was beyond awful. I tried to speak to her an owner or manager and was told that neither was available. Do not waste your money or your time.

The food was very good. A bit pricey but worth it. Especially, if you are on a date and want to impress. I love the fact that when I asked if the salad was big enough for two to share, the waitress stars yes and brought it out on 2 separate plates instead of one. Nice ambiance with dim lighting. I would definitely go back.

I think that this place has fabulous seafood. The service has always been wonderful as well. It is quiet and the lighting sets a romantic mood. I even had my birthday there with family and friends and they accommodated our large party very well.

(5)Jeff S.
i'll start with the good stuff. the food was excellent. chef is very talented, etc. unfortunately in every other way the restaurant was a complete failure. although our waitress/bar tended was very pleasant and nice, she could not overcome the total chaos of the restaurant. absolutely clueless, NO manager. dinner was served 1.5 hours after placing order. they did have a power outage for a second that caused problems that they were not able to overcome. i'm sure this was simply a very bad night, but beware. we will try it again because the food was that good. fyi - the other Blue Moon in Lauderdale by the Sea is consistently great with better ambiance.

(4)Elliot P.

Craving for yummy seafood? You are in the right place. Had dinner here yesterday with my husband and I ordered the Maine lobster, the server informed me that they just ran out of lobster but he told me that the chef would give me the lobster tail for the same price (the tail is more expensive), awesome! My husband ordered ribeye and it is cooked the way he wants them. I also fell in love with their wines, I had the sweet Riesling and i had to ask for a second glass. The creme brûlée is good too!!! Would definitely come back here. If u opt for a more romantic ambiance, they also have a branch in fort lauderdale by the water.

I went to their former affiliate in Lauderdale By The Sea about two years ago, and as I recall it was not too bad of an experience, but overpriced. Now that this location has decided to separate and revamp itself, I decided to give it a try. This locations is definitely not as nice as the Lauderdale by the sea but it was nice enough. I did however find the staff to be more laid back and a bit more friendly though. We were starving so we decided to jump right into our food. My fiancé had the 16 oz premium choice NY Steak. As a steak lover he was very satisfied with the size and cut. He like the taste of the port wine demi very much. I had the Lobster and Shellfish Pan-Roast. It had a little bit of everything in a spiced brandy-tarragon cream. It was not spiced, but still had good flavor. I was very happy with the amount of seafood that was in the dish. What we missed out in an appetizer, we made up with dessert. Instead of sharing, we decided to order two desserts. The first was the Icky Sticky Caramel Torte. It was sticky but not icky and really good. The other dessert option was the Jamaican Coconut Rum Crème Brulee. It was tasty (its not too difficult to make a crème brulee), but promises of coconut rum flavor failed to deliver. It was pretty basic. My final take on BlueMoon Seafood And Chophouse is while the food is good, the prices are a bit outrageous. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and is not offering anything out of the ordinary so I am not sure they warrant charging almost $50 for a plate of food. However, it is up to you to decided.

(5)Monica W.
(5)Anita C.
Wow! Wow!

(5)John L.

Great place for fresh seafood. They have great dinner and drink specials. The wait staff is knowledgeable and their service is superb. The ambience is great for couples

(4)Mellissa F.

Best seafood in west broward. I have been coming here for years, always a great meal. Great Grouper & Swordfish.
(5)Ira R.
Place had a great reputation awhile back, and has totally lost it. I live a few blocks from here, and they also have a location on the Intercoastal. (Maybe others?) From what I've heard, that location is great, but who's going to take a chance?
(1)Christina L.
(5)Ed L.
(5)Fran R.
(2)Stephen F.
(4)Stephanie S.
